I THINK!  it is some form of Storm or other abnormal weather condition,  between the Sat. and our dishes here.
I can NORMALLY, be sure of reception all stations,   but, occasionally I`m sure weather gets in the way and BBC/ITV as the weakest signal SAT.  go "On the Blink",  time like it,  varies, as weather moves, rarely more then 10/15 Mins duration. hoppefully !

SO! 70 years ago today, the day we trained for, planned for, and secretly dreaded, arrived, and `orf we go to do or die.
It may be a bit facetious, but how else can one approach all the horrors, the  injuries, and the deaths, brought about by that days eventual arrival ?
A thought please for all those who "Bought It", and will never leave French Shores again, for me, Cheers  Digger,Jock, Micko, and the many others now resting, in graves from North Africa, via Sicily, Italy, and the mainland of Europe via Normandy.   We all hope your sacrifice was not in vain.

OUR  PEGGY

Under a shady date-palm tree, in a very pleasant Memorial Garden, out in Spain, is a quite nice Wooden Garden Bench.
On it is a Plaque with those words on it .
In its own way, it tells us all about Peg.
She  WAS  everybodies friend, and they in return , were all hers, this went, for wherever she traveled,  anywhere in the world.
Wherever she and I visited, and our mileage was very extensiive, she talked with people, and they became ,in turn , more friends.
There was a thread running through our lives,  DANCING,
it was the reason for our meeting initially, and had quite a bearing on our trips.
After a cruise, together, around the Cape, via Suez to Cairo,  where we were able to go to the El Alamein War Cemetary, for me to pay my respects to those of my lads there.   We talked, and it seemed a good idea, to use the visits to such places, as a basis for travels, and when a Caravan was mentioned, what better way to do the travel , that Peg had always wanted, but never been able to get to do.
Hey Presto!, and KINKI 1.  was bought, my Jag. swapped for a suitable tow car, a few additions, and alterations, for comfort, and convenience, and from there on we never looked back.
From Italy, across Europe, North African Coast, if it was reachable, we went, with whatever place we ate in at night vetted for DANCING, sometimes,in some quite unlikely places, but,  we danced. Always, whenever, or wherever, we danced.
Eventually we settled in our present Community Site at Los Gallardos, and when the time forced us, to give up our Camping ,took on a rather nice Mobile Home.
We and especially Peg, entered in to all Camp Activities.
Fancy Dress, Games, Talent Shows,  and Peg was always to be relied on.     Always in the lead, always available, always reliable.
In time Peg, was known as, and called, the Dancing Queen, a title much deserved, and one she was most proud of.
The extent of her Popularity, came, when, on a Wednesday Games night, and her Ashes were brought to the Casa.
A spontaneous wish for it to be possible for the shocked Camp, plus many outside visitors, to pay their respects to her memory, and the Bush Telegraph, plus Mobile Phones, made that evening in to a wonderful tribute to her, with her three much loved Daughters, able to grant, her many many times expressed wish, for her ashes to be placed where she had been so happy, in life.
This they did with a huge crowd attending.
To be sure she would have approved it all. The immediate suggestion that a Bench to her Memory be put in to the Garden, so quickly contributed to, by all, and so heartily endorsed in the Camp Forum, pays its own tribute.
This I am quite certain, goes for us all.
We all pay our tribute to and express our love, t0.... OUR  PEGGY

The above Eulogy, will be rad out at this Sundays Remembrance Service.

Thank you so much everyone, for the help, offers of help, and the very heartfelt sympathy, from everyone on site.
A most unexpected blow, which was much helped by all three daughters, coming and being here, to help in the hospitalisation, and then the dreadful aftermath of such a loss.
Nothing and No One, could for me, ever replace Peg,  we traveled, watched, saw, and sampled everrything, from the time I first met her at a Dance Club in Slough, until I was no ,longer able to keep up with her.  May Her Memory stay fresh always!

Sorry ! to all those unable to make it to the Remembrance Garden, I`m sure Peg knows you all woud have been, had you known ? it was all arranged so quickly, due to the time frame of happenings, and legalities.
Peg`s could not have wished for better, it would have been her delight to have joined in  the dancing back at the Casa, I`m sure she did/   Many thanks to all concerned  Harry
