Sonic Booms on the Patio
« on: December 01, 2015, 09:37:54 AM »
The Sunday entertainment group on the patio 'Day Trippers' were good up to a point.
5 guys with awfully big mouths gave me something I very rarely suffer from, a headache.
The decibel level was off the scale and our group quickly took shelter in the bar behind closed doors.
Before long quite a few people followed us.

Couldn't agree less. Every one I spoke to thought the group was brilliant and the choice of songs excellent. Oh dear Mr. Kelly, has old age finally caught up to you? .

This is a topic that comes up on a regular basis and the morons concerned never seem to understand that most of the venues that they perform at are not the size of a football stadium. They all work on the Spinal Tap principle of 'Our amps go up to 11'. I live at the top of the site and could hear every song clearly so what it must have been like on the patio I would hate to imagine.

Azul you dope, I didn't say they were not good, Tony673 has the right attitude to my post which was about volume. If you have no respect for your ears that's your problem.

As we grow older our tolerance to noise diminishes, sorry Pete!

Why are you saying sorry Sting? and yes my ears are not perfect at my age, I suffer from tinnitus, have done for years and over enthusiastic entertainers who think they are playing at a rock concert in Wembley does not help.

Wouldn't it be great to have an acoustic artist or group someday and see what the attendance figures are. I'll bet most of these groups today couldn't perform without noise and distortion.

I agree, if people can't be nice they should leave the forum to others.
