Elections this Sunday 24!
« on: May 13, 2015, 05:54:50 PM »
Don't forget to vote this Sunday if you're registered! You should have received your voting confirmation by now.
Voting takes place all day at the school in LG. Just go in and look for the table that corresponds to your surname.

There are only two parties this year in LG:
  • PSOE, the party that always wins. Fran the chef is standing as deputy Mayor this year! Maria the Mayor likes the site and does things like fix the road for us, etc.
  • PP, the party that has never won. They were complaining about the free bus to the market recently. They also don't like having to pay for fixing the main road.
I won't suggest which party to vote for, that's up to you  ::)

Talking about the cost of fixing roads, I would think the gypsom industry could chip in for the upkeep of the main road past Los Gallardos. 120 x 40 tonne lorries making up to 10 trips each per day.

VOTING IN THE ELECTIONS

Municipal elections are being held this SUNDAY all day
in the school in Los Gallardos.

Voters should have received a letter through the post confirming they can vote.

Voting is very simple:

Take your NIE number and passport with you to the school
Once there, there will be a table with voting slips and envelopes. Select the slip of the party of your choice and an envelope.
Go into the voting booth, fold the slip once and put into the envelope. Do not mark or write on the slip!
Go to the voting urn corresponding to your surname and present your ID. When indicated, put your envelope into the urn.

To answer the question, Fran the chef belongs to the PSOE party.

There are only two parties standing in the elections:
the PSOE (who currently run the town)
and the PP.

If you are registered to vote, please make the effort to go along
and support the town.
