Bogus gas inspection telephone calls
« on: May 06, 2015, 09:25:27 AM »
I've had reports that a gas inspection company is calling up people and saying their gas inspection is due.
They can be quite aggressive over the phone, warning you that they will have to disconnect your gas installation and the like.
All lies. Put the phone down on them and do NOT agree to an inspection!

The only gas inspection company regulated around here are the official Repsol franchise, Vera Gas (the company name is Travelgas Levante, S.L.). They drive big orange vans and wear the uniform. These people are out of towners who are trying to take advantadge of you. They will not carry out a full inspection, but simply change your gas pipes and charge you an astronomical amount (usually over 100!!!!) for it.

You are required to have a gas inspection every five years (same as in a house), but Repsol send you out a letter reminding you and don't call.

Nor do they knock on doors! If someone knocks on your door asking to check your gas inspection, refuse and call reception AT ONCE so we can eject these con artists from the site!
Keep the site clean! If you spot a problem somewhere, you can now file a maintenance report online using your ClubCard account: Go to, login with your Clubcard number and click "Report Problem"
