Nostalgia, the thing that misses out , is the  SMELL....
That Steamy ,Oily, Ashy, Peoply, Coal Dusty Pong, ,  plus of course the dirt, I remember it all SO well !

Good point Harry, that's why I said 'The sound and sight' steam trains looked great from a distance and I remember almost choking from the fumes when going through tunnels.
Aahh those nostalgic times........when bronchitis was almost an epidemic. :-\

One of the best things to remember in this day of the Swindle  Factor Syndrome which seems the NORM.
The Intgrity, hich we all thought was the norm, and acted accordingly.
How `Clean` things were then in comparison, with todays corruption in the highest places, the House, Banks,any big Business, you can name.
Great shame that `umans are losing that inbuilt honesty, that once prevailed, as the ONLY proper way to live one`s life.
